The boys at STYD scored the first ever plot summary for the upcoming JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER 2, and while it’s brief, it does promise for fun times ahead, especially for us who got a kick out of the first one.
While MONSTER SLAYER was an origins tale, where we got to see what makes Jack Brooks tick, and how he becomes the world’s greatest monster slayer, the sequel goes a different way… at the end of the guy’s monster slaying career. Check it out:
Jack Brooks decides to retire from monster slaying, but not before taking one last job. Soon he finds himself helping stop a man with an evil plot to summon the demon Legion.
How is it that the one last job is always the biggest bitch of them all? Seriously, that shit always happens. I’m not complaining, as it makes for a good movie, but sheesh… it’s enough make anyone not take one last job ever again.
Anyway, I can dig the sequel, as it sounds fun… yes, even described in two sentences. Maybe it’s because I enjoyed the first film so much, and I can’t wait to see more of the same from director Jon Knautz and writer/star Trevor Matthews.
