Despite starring in SNAKES ON A PLANE and BLACK SNAKE MOAN, Samuel L. Jackson has not added a rider to his contracts demanding that all movies he joins be retitled to include Snake. Case in point is the adaptation of Stephen King’s 1408. While 1408 SNAKES, could easily become a SciFi Channel classic, they’ll just stick with the original title – for now.
Jackson joins John Cucack in the tale of a debunker of paranormal occurrences who encounters real terror when he checks into the notorious Room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel. Sam will play the hotel manager. I haven’t read the story myself, but since Sam is obviously a black man, and this is a Stephen King project, I’m going to presume he will be wise, kind and curiously knowledgeable about what exactly is going on.
