Jacob’s Ladder (1990) Revisited – Horror Movie Review

It’s time for a new episode in our Revisited video series, and the film we’re revisiting this time around is the trippy 1990 horror thriller Jacob’s Ladder (watch it HERE). Directed by Fatal Attraction‘s Adrian Lyne, Jacob’s Ladder stars Tim Robbins and was scripted by Bruce Joel Rubin – who won an Oscar for writing Ghost the same year this movie was released. Jacob’s Ladder has the following synopsis:

After returning home from the Vietnam War, veteran Jacob Singer struggles to maintain his sanity. Plagued by hallucinations and flashbacks, Singer rapidly falls apart as the world and people around him morph and twist into disturbing images. His girlfriend, Jezzie, and ex-wife, Sarah, try to help, but to little avail. Even Singer’s chiropractor friend, Louis, fails to reach him as he descends into madness.

Robbins is joined in the cast by Elizabeth Peña, Patricia Kalember, Danny Aiello, Matt Craven, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Jason Alexander, Eriq La Salle, and Ving Rhames.
