Jaimie Alexander wants to be Valkyrie’s Queen for Thor: Love and Thunder

There's no doubt that Marvel's Hall H panel was one of the biggest highlights of this year's San Diego Comic-Con. During the event, Valkyrie actress Tessa Thompson proclaimed that as the newly-appointed King of New Asgard, she'll be in search of a Queen in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER. In addition to setting the world on fire with a confirmation that Valkyrie is the first out-and-proud LGBTQ+ character of the MCU, news of the boozy badass' search for love got fans hot and bothered as they imagined who would be worthy of Valkyrie's armor-clad hand in holy matrimony.

Among several suggestions of those who would make for a fine compliment to Valkyrie's affections, Jaimie Alexander's fan-favorite character, Sif, appears to be the top contender. As it happens, no one has seen Sif since the events of THOR: THE DARK WORLD, and I'm fairly certain that a brief cameo in MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn't count. Unlike her fallen brethren, the Warrior's Three, Sif remains alive and could easily be written into THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER. That is if director-writer Taika Waititi doesn't already have a suitor in mind.

Verily, once word got around that fans were eager to see Sif return to the MCU as Valkyrie's betrothed, Alexander took to social media to say that she'd be honored to say "I do."

Oh boy, let the fan-fiction begin!

Personally, I would love to see Sif return to the MCU in any capacity, be it as Valkyrie's Queen or otherwise. For the longest time, I've felt that leaving her character on the sidelines was a major oversight, though I understand that scheduling conflicts are what kept Alexander from returning to the franchise. Be that as it may, there's still plenty of time between now and when production for THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER is bound to begin. Could it be that Waititi is already aware of Alexander's enthusiasm to reprise her role as the Asgardian warrior? Have the two of them perhaps talked about organizing a royal wedding for the new film? I sure hope so, but we'll have to wait to find out.
