Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell Jamie Kennedy Don Michael Paul

Jamie Kennedy, who can currently be seen in theatres and on VOD in the Halloween slasher movie TRICK, first earned fans among the horror community for his performance as the horror-loving character Randy in the SCREAM franchise. Lately Kennedy has been participating in another genre franchise, playing survivalist hero Burt Gummer's wisecracking son Travis B. Welker in TREMORS 5: BLOODLINES and TREMORS: A COLD DAY IN HELL

A seventh TREMORS film is now in the works and is expected to start filming in November, but while it has been confirmed that Michael Gross will be starring in the sequel as Burt, it's still not clear whether or not Kennedy will be reprising the role of Travis.

When Moviehole asked him about the new TREMORS, Kennedy replied,

I’m not allowed to say, really, but there will be another one for sure and I’m figuring out if I’m going to be in it or not."

The fact that he's not allowed to talk about the movie makes it sounds like there's a good chance that he'll be involved, that there's at least an offer on the table. But clearly his deal has not been closed yet. He does have a steady stream of stand up shows booked through the end of the year, so he might be figuring out scheduling issues.

The new TREMORS is going by the title TREMORS: ISLAND FURY. BLOODLINES and A COLD DAY IN HELL director Don Michael Paul will be returning to the helm, while the screenplay has been written by Brian Brightly, who is new to the franchise. In this one,

The deadly Graboids are back, illegally brought in to a new island resort by a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt.

TREMORS: ISLAND FURY will be filming in Thailand very soon. We'll have to wait and see if Kennedy reports to set.

In the meantime, all six previous TREMORS movies can be purchased in this collection. Completists will also want to pick up the episodes of the 2003 TV series.
