Jamie Lee Curtis shares Halloween photo of three generations of Strode women

When The Shape (Nick Castle) returns in David Gordon Green and Danny McBride's upcoming HALLOWEEN sequel, he'll be needing all the help he can get as the silent killer will find himself up against three generations of the Strode family. In addition to Jamie Lee Curtis returning as Laurie Strode, HALLOWEEN will also star Judy Greer as Laurie's daughter, Karen, and Andi Matichak as Allyson, Karen's daughter and Laurie's granddaughter. Watch out, Michael. Jamie Lee Curtis is still in the midst of production on the film, and the actress shared a photo of herself alongside Greer and Matichak on Twitter earlier today.

"Three generations of strong, striped Strode women. Wrapping up this astonishingly scary revisit to Haddonfield. @andimatichak @missjudygreer #acorn #sapling #oak @halloweenmovie #HalloweenMovie @Marinelayer"

Jamie Lee Curtis also shared another photo of herself several days go, with the caption "Set self portrait. Survivor. Protector. @halloweenmovie #HalloweenMovie."

The timeline behind the HALLOWEEN franchise can get a little confusing, but David Gordon Green and Danny McBride have chosen to go back to basics and ignore everything which followed John Carpenter's original HALLOWEEN. McBride has previously said that their aim is bring the scares and attempt to capture the same tone as the original movie.

Yes, exactly! We're trying to. The original is all about tension. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) doesn't even know that Michael Myers exists until the last minutes of the movie. So much of it you're in anticipation of what's going to happen and the dread that Carpenter spins so effortlessly in that film, I think we were really trying to get it back to that. We're trying to mine that dread. Mine that tension and not just go for gore and ultra-violence that you see some horror movies lean on. To us, it was all about bringing back the creep factor and trying to find the horror in your own backyard, in our own homes.

HALLOWEEN is set for an October 19, 2018 release.
