Jane as Hex?

Back in March I gave you the last update on JONAH HEX. That update included word from writer/directors Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine on the JONAH HEX script. These guys are everywhere. They just wrapped on GAME and are currently hard at work on CRANK 2, with JONAH HEX the next on their list.

Well a big time rumor has been circulating the net the past couple days… a rumor that went hand in hand with the picture above. What exactly is that picture? Well it’s of Tom Jane as one JONAH HEX. Tom Jane seems to have a mixed audience out there…. personally I think the guy is badass… so I’d totally be down to see him play JONAH HEX. Well that’s exactly what Film School Rejects were reporting on until ShockTillYouDrop shot that down with word from Neveldine himself.

Well it seems like we’ve got some more development on this situation. FSR have another update regarding Mr. Jane as Mr. Hex, this time coming straight from Jane’s mouth! Jane had the following to say to Film School Rejects:

”Yeah, the pic is real all right – my pal Akiva Goldsman told me about the project and I fell in love with the idea right away. Being a huge fan of all things Hex – I just couldn’t help myself. I called up my buddy Chris Nelson and we spent a Saturday afternoon working up some make-up for this impromptu shoot and I fired a few pics off to Warners. How do people get a hold of this shit? It’s a little embarrassing seeing my fanboy enthusiasm spilled all over the web, but great scripts don’t come around too often, especially for characters I love.”

So there you have it. Tom Jane wants this role so bad that he took it upon himself to get all HEXed up and sent some photos into Warner Bros. himself. Now that’s really showing you want a job! No telling if Warner is down for Jane as the supernatural comic book gunslinger, but we’ll keep you updated.

Rebecca Romijn was in a Tom-Jane-as-a-comic-book-character movie.
