Jane Levy & Sissy Spacek join Castle Rock!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I don’t think I make it any kind of secret around here that I am a mega-fan of Jane Levy.

If you’ve read any of my articles from the past six months, I’m sure you’ve seen her pics at the bottom of half of them, if not more. I also don’t hide the fact that I’m looking forward to the upcoming Hulu Stephen King/J.J. Abrams series CASTLE ROCK more than the birth of my first child.

It is with both of these things in mind that I bring you the amazing news that today, Deadline confirmed that the new mysterious series will star not only Jane Levy but CARRIE herself, Sissy Spacek!

Levy is said to have signed a one-year deal to be on CASTLE ROCK.

So I guess if there are multiple seasons, it’s safe to say her character isn’t going to have a happy ending. But who knows? I mean, this is Jane Levy we’re talking about. The girl took on the goddamn EVIL DEAD and emerged victorious.

Back to being serious here, Spacek is set to play a character named Ruth Deaver.

Ruth is being described as “the estranged adoptive mother of Henry (Holland). She’s a retired professor whose fading memories might hold a key to Castle Rock’s unsettling past. Levy plays Jackie, the death-obsessed self-appointed historian of Castle Rock.”

Sounds good to me! Filming is expected to begin in August and run until January!

CASTLE ROCK synopsis via Hulu:

A psychological horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, “Castle Rock” combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The first-of-its-kind reimagining explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories and characters.

CASTLE ROCK is written by Dustin Thomason and Sam Shaw, and executive produced by Stephen King and J.J. Abrams. The 10-episode first season has not yet been given a release date.

How excited are you about the Stephen King/JJ Abrams series CASTLE ROCK? Do you have any theories about what the series maybe REALLY be about?
