It sounds as if Jason Momoa is feeling the holiday spirit a bit early this year as it's been announced that he'll voice Frosty the Snowman for Warner Bros. and Stampede's upcoming live-action take on the classic Christmas tale.

No. This is not an April Fool's article. Go ahead, check your calendar. See! I told you so!

In addition to starring as the voice of Frosty the Snowman, Moma will also produce alongside Jon Berg and Greg Silverman of Stampede, with Geoff Johns of Madghost also producing. Meanwhile, David Berenbaum, who worked with Berg on Will Ferrell's holiday classic ELF, is writing the script based on the iconic corn cob pipe-puffing snowman. When the film arrives, it will be presented in a hybrid CGI/live-action format.

“From his role as a fearsome count in a land of ice and fire to the oceanic success we all had with Aquaman, it felt only right to realize Jason this time out of snow,” Berg said.

“We know Jason as a true human being filled with love, compassion, and a deep connection to ohana… all of which is the living spirit of Xmas and Frosty,” said Silverman.

Yo, if this movie includes Frosty the Snowman performing the Haka I am going to lose my damn mind. How about you? What do you think of Momoa lending his gruff and dreamy vocals to such an iconic character? Sound off in the comments section below and let us know what your hopes are for this intriguing film project.
