Damn Van Damme! As some of you might know, I’m a huge JEAN CLAUDE VAN
DAMME fan, specially his old stuff (Cyborg owns!) and although he had
some keepers a while back like
IN HELL and
WAKE OF DEATH, the man slipped up big time
(in my opinion of course) with
SECOND IN COMMAND and the embarrassing
THE HARD CORPS.
Now his next film UNTIL DEATH
(pre order it here) will soon be upon us
(STD on April 23 2007) and its synopsis sounds tight (crooked, smack
addict cop goes into coma, comes out of it to kick that ass). Problem
is, the DVD art that just surfaced (see above) is ho-hum to say the least
(Can you spell Seagal?) and the film is directed by Simon Fellows;
the same dude who helmed the sub par Second in Command. So my expectations
are in the gutter.
Man I hope I’m wrong on this one and that JCVD kicks them skulls like
he used to in the old days (see below). Thanks to Curt for the heads up!
