Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren join forces for Action Thriller Black Water

Oh snap! It’s time to pound a few gallons of Muscle Milk, get your swole on, and prepare yourself for a good ol’ fashioned Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren team up! The starting gun has been fired on the action thriller BLACK WATER from Dawn’s Light Media, and will feature both Van Damme and Lundgren as allies-on-screen for the very first time. With a script penned by Chad Law, BLACK WATER focuses on a deep-cover agent (Van Damme) who awakens to discover that he’s been imprisoned in a CIA black site on a submarine. So far, there is no word on how Lundgren will contribute to the project, but I’m fairly certain his role will involve a good deal of delivering hardcore one-liners and standing stock-still like the chiseled brick shithouse that he is.

While the search for a director is underway, it’s been reported that Richard Switzer of Dawn Light is producing in conjunction with Tyler Konney. Alexander Ferguson and Jason Cherubini serving as executive producers.

What do you guys think? Does this team-up excite you? Will this movie be like Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger's ESCAPE PLAN but on a submarine? Personally, I can’t remember the last time I sat down to a movie featuring Van Damme. Oh wait, he was in THE EXPENDABLES 2, wasn’t he? Yeah, that movie was a lot of dumb fun, for sure. Additionally, I might not have tuned in for Lundgren’s KINDERGARTEN COP 2, but I have a lot of respect for that man. He is, in fact, one smart, muscle-bound cookie.

With no release date set for BLACK WATER, we’ll have to wait and see how this project progresses over time.
