Jean-Claude Van Damme & Dolph Lundgren to star in Black Water thriller

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Legendary badasses Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are getting ready to team up with one another, for the fifth time, when Saban Films brings director Pasha Patriki's BLACK WATER thriller in North America.

The film, as scripted by Chad Law, will tell the story of a deep cover operative who awakens to find himself imprisoned in a CIA black site on a submarine. With the help of a fellow prisoner and an amateur agent, he must race against the clock to escape the vessel and expose who set him up.

In talking about the newly-inked deal, Saban Films' own Bill Bromiley stated, “Jean-Claude and Dolph are a powerhouse duo, it’s refreshing to see them fighting on the same side for a change,” said Bromiley. “The pair are iconic action heroes; our audiences will absolutely love Black Water,” he added.

BLACK WATER is aiming to release in the second quarter of 2018. In the meantime, why not bust out your copy of THE EXPENDABLES 2, in which Van Damme and Lundgren star alongside a bevy of other illustrious Hollywood strongmen such as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, Jet Li, Terry Crews, and Randy Couture!
