Jeffrey Dean Morgan (WATCHMEN) has scored the lead role in DIBBUK BOX. He joins Madison Davenport and Natasha Calis. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on October 28th via Lionsgate (since they don’t have another SAW film to put out this Halloween). Here’s the plot:
The film will follow Clyde Breneck and his 10-year-old daughter, Em, who purchases an antique box at a yard sale. With the box, Em accidentally releases an ancient spirit that has one goal: to devour her. Clyde must team work with his ex-wife to put an end to the curse.
The movie is directed by Ole Bornedal (THE SUBSTITUTE) off a script by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White, the duo behind the truly awful BOOGEYMAN. It’s based on actual events, so maybe it will be a bit more interesting. Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert are producing via Ghost House Pictures.
