Jennifer Aniston to play first female president in Netflix’s First Ladies

Hail to the Chief! Netflix has announced that Jennifer Aniston will star as the first female President of the United States alongside Tig Notaro as the First Lady.

Here's the official logline for the new feature:

First Ladies is a political comedy about America’s first female President and her wife, The First Lady. When Beverly and Kasey Nicholson move into the White House, they’ll prove that behind every great woman… is another great woman.

Written by Notaro and Stephanie Allynne, FIRST LADIES is being produced by a powerhouse ensemble including: Aniston, Notaro, Allynne, and Adam McKay, Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum and Betsy Koch via Gloria Sanchez Productions. Chris Henchy will executive produce.

The project sees both Aniston and Notaro continuing to explore their individual relationships with Netflix, as Aniston is set to star opposite Adam Sandler in MURDER MYSTERY for the streaming network, while Notaro is set to debut her newest comedy special TIG NOTARO HAPPY TO BE HERE on the network.
