Jigsaw’s wife speaks

Well, we’re already past the halfway mark till we get treated to our next installment of the SAW franchise! To celebrate, here’s some info about part V delivered by Jigsaw’s better half herself, Jill Kramer (the lovely Betsy Russell). Nothing too revealing (duh!), but it’s nice knowing that the SAW engine is running strong. Here’s some snippets of an interview Ms. Russell gave to B-D on what it’s like playing Jigsaw’s wifey:

“It feels great to be cherished and adored. I think every wife should be, it’s a great aphrodisiac.” Regarding the harsh actions Jigsaw in the past as well as the upcoming sequel, Russell replied, “[I think] some of us need a moment or an event to happen in our lives to make us step off the treadmill of life and say, ‘hey, am I appreciating what I have?’ Let me re-evaluate here and see if I’m making the most of it… Jigsaw just takes it to the next level… You will have to wait to see how Jill feels about it.”

Spoken like a true veteran of SAW. I thought Russell was fantastic in SAW IV and helped to add yet another dimension to the increasingly complex character that is Jigsaw (who it seems can’t even be stopped by death). I’m definitely looking forward to how she factors into part V… and maybe part VI… and possibly part VII?! I know the series is said to be stopping at six flicks, however Ms. Russell dropped an ever-so-Jigsaw-esque clue to the future of SAW: “Yes [there will be a seventh SAW] if fans keep wanting more…” I hope she’s not playing games.

I can’t ever mention Betsy Russell without thinking of sexy role in PRIVATE SCHOOL.
