Way back in September of last year we brought you guys the killer news that Leonardo DiCaprio was in talks to play THE JOKER in the upcoming standalone film from producer Martin Scorsese.
Well, today it seems that Joaquin Phoenix (might) play the killer clown in the new film!
This hasn’t been 100% confirmed yet, Variety says negotiations aren’t yet underway, but director Todd Phillips made it clear that Phoenix is the top choice to star and was just waiting for the studio’s go-ahead. Now Phoenix has evidently agreed to the role.
