John McTiernan’s PREDATOR is no stranger to the Double-Dip, as there must be a handful of DVDs already released for this badboy, one of which is an awesome 2-disc collector’s edition that’s worth it’s weight in gold (also on Blu-ray). But since PREDATORS is hitting this July, we should have known Fox would try and pimp out yet another Blu-ray release. Then again, this release looks about as awesome as the last!
THE ULTIMATE HUNTER EDITION is set to hit stores June 29, 2010. No details have been released just yet, so we can only hope the previous Blu-ray’s special features are included (there was over 5 hours of cool extras in that release). If nothing else, the new Blu-ray has a new cover that is very blue and Predator centric, with no sign of Schwarzenegger (except his name) or his posse of ass-kicking commandos. Which is cool… I guess.
Nothing is screaming at me just yet why this should replace the previous collector’s edition, but if you don’t already own PREDATOR (shame on you!!!), then why the f*ck not? PREDATOR comes to Blu-ray yet again June 29, 2010, and PREDATORS hits theaters July 9, 2010.
