Jones is New

Variety announced this morning that ROAD TRIP II: BEER PONG star Preston Jones has landed a role in the second season of the popular HBO vampire show TRUE BLOOD, co-starring Anna Paquin.

I hear TRUE BLOOD is da bomb, but as I haven’t seen it myself, I couldn’t really tell ya either way. But a show about vampires on a network that doesn’t have to cut down on the language, sex, or violence is probably pretty dang good. If I had HBO, I’d be watching that shite in a heartbeat.

The role of Jones has not been officially announced, so I guess we’ll have to tune in and see. I hope the guy can contribute something worthwhile, though considering his career high so far is a crappy STD sequel to a comedy classic, I’m thinking he may not last a whole season… hopefully he proves me wrong! Season 2 of TRUE BLOOD premieres sometime this summer. Maybe I’ll be able to afford HBO by then… hmmmm…
