Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone adds 2 more

Casting for Jordan Peele's reboot of THE TWILIGHT ZONE has been steady news for the past few months. And today is no different as we now have word the series has added two new stars to the show in the form of DeWanda Wise and Jessica Williams. Not much is known about the episode they will star in, but Deadline reports that it will also feature Lucinda Dryzek, Jefferson White and Jonathan Whitesell. 

For those of you out there (like me) that have no idea who DeWanda Wise and/or Jessica Williams are, here's a bit of info on the two. Let's start with DeWanda Wise, who is currently starring on Netflix's adaptation of Spike Lee’s SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT, but her other television credits include BOARDWALK EMPIRE, THE GOOD WIFE, and THE MENTALIST. Wise was also the star and executive-producer of something called – get this – HOW TO TELL YOU'RE A DOUCHEBAG. Interesting…

Moving on to Williams, she is the co-creator of something called 2 DOPE QUEENS (which is evidently a podcast) and can next be seen on the big screen in CREEP director Patrick Brice's CORPORATE ANIMALS. On top of that, Williams television credits include THE DAILY SHOW, GIRLS, and her film credits include the recently released FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD. 

Wise and Williams will be joining the show's cast which all together at this point in time features the likes of John Cho, Greg Kinnear, Sanaa Lathan, Kumail Nanjiani, Adam Scott, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, and Steven Yeun. That's of course on top of Peele who will host and narrate the show. The reboot is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Monkeypaw Productions and Genre Films. Peele and Simon Kinberg serve as executive producers along with Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Glen Morgan, Greg Yaitanes, Carol Serling (the widow of Rod Serling), and Rick Berg.
