Julianne Moore dances toward another chance at love in Gloria Bell trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Love is a fickle beast that can make you smile just as much as tear you down from the inside out. In GLORIA BELL, Julianne Moore is a free-spirited 50-something woman on the prowl, who's taken to dancing her way through L.A. night clubs in search of Mr. Right 2.0. The film hails from THE YEAR OF THE TIGER and A FANTASTIC WOMAN helmer Sebastián Lelio, who also worked alongside Alice Johnson Boher (A PORTRAIT OF FEMALE DESPERATION) while adapting the screenplay.

Starring alongside Moore in the romantic comedy is John Turturro (THE BIG LEBOWSKI, BARTON FINK) as Arnold, a middle-aged gentleman hoping to become the missing piece to a daunting puzzle Gloria is hoping to complete. Joining Moore and Turturro for the lovesick drama are Alanna Ubach (GIRLFRIENDS' GUIDE TO DIVORCE, WAITING), Jeanne Tripplehorn (BASIC INSTINCT, WATERWORLD), Sean Astin (STRANGER THINGS, THE LORD OF THE RINGS), Michael Cera (JUNO, SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD), and Brad Garrett (CHRISTOPHER ROBIN, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND).

In the trailer, we find Gloria struggling to juggle her work life, family, and pursuit of a second chance at love. My suspicion is that things will get a lot more complicated for her before Cupid's arrow strikes true, once again.

GLORIA BELL will dance its way into theaters on March 8, 2019.
