Jurassic World 3 is set to roar in June 2021 with Emily Carmichael to write!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

One of the most dangerous and beloved theme parks in all of fiction is set to re-open its doors on June 11, 2021, when Universal unleashes JURASSIC WORLD 3 upon the globe!

Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow are poised to return as executive producers alongside producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley for the Jurassic sequel. Additionally, the script for the dinosaur action blockbuster will be written by PACIFIC RIM UPRISING scribe Emily Carmichael along with Trevorrow.

Recently in her career, Carmichael began work on directing the family action-adventure POWERHOUSE for Amblin. Beyond that, she also co-wrote PACIFIC RIM UPRISING with Kira Snyder, Steven S. DeKnight and T.S. Nowlin. Furthermore, she's also been tasked with penning a re-write of the script for Disney's THE BLACK HOLE with director Joseph Kosinski on board to helm the sci-fi fantasy voyage.

In talking about bringing Carmichael aboard the project, Colin Trevorrow released a statement saying that “It’s important to this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive,” said the JURASSIC WORLD director. “I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty J.A. has brought to Fallen Kingdom, and I know Emily will add another layer of emotion to the concluding chapter of our trilogy.”

No one has been cast for the sequel at this time, though you can look forward to making your return to the park when JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM stomps into theaters on June 8th.
