Jurassic World director reveals when new film is set, says ‘Reboot is a strong word’

Besides the fact that Universal Pictures will release the next film in the JURASSIC PARK franchise, titled JURASSIC WORLD, in 3D on June 12, 2015, we don't know much about what to expect. Fans have been wondering if the movie will serve as a reboot of the franchise as the film has regularly been described as a “reboot” during casting and pre-production, but apparently that’s not really the case at all as JURASSIC WORLD director Colin Trevorrow took to Twitter to clear up the confusion as well as giving us an idea of when the film would be set.

Check out the exchange between a fan of the JP series and director Trevorrow below:

If JURASSIC WORLD is set 22 years after the first film, it could possibly mean the theme park rumors that we told you about back in June are accurate.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson and Irrfan Khan are said to be starring in the film, with Steven Spielberg returning to produce. Trevorrow directs from a draft of the screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley join the team as fellow producers.
