Just a few weeks ago I told you all how Richard Kelly and company were planning on hitting us with a trailer for THE BOX at this Summer’s Comic-Con. What I didn’t tell you was that we’d be seeing a trailer before said event!

I was under the impression Kelly would be debuting the first trailer for the film in San Diego. I suppose I was wrong because today we’ve gone ahead and scored a look at the first trailer for Richard Kelly’s THE BOX over in our videos section and it’s looking all kinds of twisted! Go ahead and skip below to check it out for yourself!

While Cameron Diaz is really only fun to look at, she’s not much in the acting department. Luckily for us James Marsden always does a great job of tearing up the screen. Hell we even get Frank Langella playing the baddie so all’s good. Plus Diaz is really hot. Diaz and Marsden play a suburban couple with a young child who receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. Langella plays a mysterious stranger that delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. But, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world…someone they don’t know. Awesome. Along with directing Kelly also adapted the script from the short story by Richard Matheson.

The trailer offers an idea of what we can expect from THE BOX. It’s not going to be a run-of-the-mill cookie cutter thriller. It looks like it’s going to be a twisted mindf*ck of a spooky flick! How dare we expect anything less from Kelly! Go ahead and scope out the trailer below and get ready for THE BOX October 30th.
