Kids are getting Grimm

JoBloJoBlo

With the HARRY POTTER movies still making magic money, and things like NARNIA stuffing plenty of producers’ pockets, everyone is actively seeking their very own financially fulfilling fantasy franchise.

The kids book series THE SISTERS GRIMM is currently on the block at New Regency, who is taking the first three of the eventual nine (!!) books by author Michael Buckley and condensing them into what they surely hope is the first of many films. Although Terry Gilliam might argue otherwise.

The tales revolve around orphaned siblings, the descendants of the Brothers Grimm (hooray for public domain!), who find themselves following in their ancestors’ footsteps as young detectives of magical phenomenon perpetrated by the Everafters, a parallel race of magical beings.
