A couple weeks back, Jared P. informed you all about the forthcoming thriller remake THE KILLER INSIDE ME which is on the verge of showcasing a pretty popular cast consisting of Casey Affleck as a sheriff and Jessica Alba stretching her talents as a prostitute (who most likely will not be showing her boobs). Okay, so you’ve got the better-at-acting Affleck brother and a full-fledged hottie… but what about the bad ass?
Well, I believe that position has now been filled thanks to the recent announcement that tough-guy extraordinaire, Elias Koteas (FALLEN, ZODIAC, right), will be joining the cast! Now, KILLER INSIDE ME has some real punch. Mr. Koteas really knows how to shake up the screen.
Now have a look at the fun-sounding plot: A West Texas sheriff who delves into a downward spiral from a boring small-town cop into a ruthless, sociopathic murderer.
I’m always a fan of “spirals-into-a-slasher” types of flicks. This one is being directed by Michael Winterbottom who co-wrote the final script with Andrew Dominik and John Curran. Once all financing is finalized, filming looks to begin in January in both Oklahoma & New Mexico.
