It’s been a while since we’ve seen a really good, simple creature feature. When I say creature feature I’m talking about an animal out there losing it’s cool and f*cking sh*t up. Now this Summer we have Alexandre Aja’s PIRANHA 3-D heading our way but it looks like we’ll have another killer animal treat hitting us on DVD!

Lionsgate announced today that their killer tiger flick BURNING BRIGHT would be hitting DVD shelves on August 17th! The Carlos Brooks film stars the gorgeous Briana Evigan, Garret Dillahunt and Meat Loaf among others. Yes, Meat Loaf. Check out the synopsis:

BURNING BRIGHT centers on 20-year-old Kelly, who cares for her autistic brother after their mother dies. Her useless stepfather cares only about his get-rich-quick schemes and wiping out her college fund. With a hurricane on the way, Kelly quickly boards up the house while her stepfather brings home a fierce tiger for his wild animal preserve. All hell breaks loose when Kelly and her brother find themselves trapped inside their home alone with the man-eating beast in the middle of a hurricane. Kelly must fight for her and her brother’s life and survive the night with a ravenous tiger on the hunt.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but that shite definitely has my interest. Just the idea of this crazy tiger stalking these kids in a big house… Pretty damn cool if you ask me. You throw in a super hottie like Evigan (below) and you’ve got yourself a sale! Then again there’s always a chance this thing could suck… So let’s keep that in mind.

The BURNING BRIGHT DVD, which will include two behind-the-scenes featurettes, hits shelves everywhere August 17th!
