Just last week Mike gave you all a huge casting update regarding the upcoming genre flick HAUNTING KIRA. We didn’t know much about this potentially groovy flick but now we know it all, and the celebrate an official website has been launched for the film!
The site is loaded with all kinds of info! But before you even get to that… you must confirm that you want to die. Again. Then ask the site to kill you. Please. Creepy. Then once you get on the site you’ll be treated to a lengthly synopsis, a host of ‘Las Vegas Metro Police Department’ files, the full cast list, a gallery, a blog and a few other links. Just head right over HERE to check that out.
HAUNTING KIRA stars Rachel Grubb (below), Monique Dupree, Donna Hamblin, Ari Lehman and Kathleen Kinmont with Teresa Fahs both writing and directing. I’ll finish you guys off with the lengthly synopsis:
At first, terrorizing the living is great fun. But being a ghost bound to the same house gets dreadfully boring, especially in a town like Las Vegas. One restless spirit, Wahmenitu, and his ghost wife, Nina, feel so frustrated that they formulate a brilliant escape plan. By tapping into the power of his native Iroquois tradition, they could merge with a freshly dead body right after the host spirit vacates. If successful, they would be ambulatory, and free to explore the world as one of the living.
Alive for the first time in many years, Wahmenitu goes on a hedonistic binge as “zombie” Barbara. Food tastes delicious, but sits like a heavy rock in her stomach. Alcohol goes down smoothly, but fails to provide a warm, pleasant rush. Seduction excites her, but never reaches its full potential. Soon, Wahmenitu discovers that Barbara’s host body is decaying. The pain of rot causes extreme aggression while unsuspecting victims meet their bloody end. As Barbara’s decomposition advances, Wahmenitu turns to a desperate solution. He uses Barbara’s appearance to befriend and gain the trust of her step-daughter, a young medical student named Kira.
The two decide to break into a funeral home and use the mortician’s supplies to embalm Barbara. Kira does what she can, but they soon discover that Barbara is still rotting from the inside. Wahmenitu’s next plan will change Kira’s life, and death, forever.
