If horror is what makes up the majority of my ‘cake’ than anything medieval would be considered my frosting. I’m a big fan of the Middle Ages. From books, to movies, to video games, anything in that time frame, I eat right up.
Except the LORD OF THE RINGS saga… but that’s a different story. Anyway, sometimes, when the moons align just right, these two amazing genres turn into one. Well the moons are lining up right, because according to Variety, there’s a Middle Ages horror flick on it’s way!
It’s called THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR. I’m already sold. Wrap it up and hand deliver it to me and I’ll shell out the dough, it’s all good. But just in case you don’t dig this jive as much as I do, let me go on.
KNIGHTS TEMPLAR obviously centers on the famous organization from the Middle Ages of the same name (you may remember them most recently from ASSASSIN’S CREED). Well the synopsis reads: The Knights Templar, fresh from the Crusades, are forced to fend off an invading vampire army set on destroying the Holy Grail.
Game. Set. Match. I’m done! Adam Torchia penned the script with Justin Stanley, with Marc Platt and WANTED director Timur Bekmambetov set to produce. I’ll definately be keeping a close eye on this one. Oh… and unfortunately I don’t think that knight below will be in the film.
