Over the weekend, a dozen 7-Elevens across the country were magically converted into Kwik-E-Marts, the Apu-run, favored beer and grocery destination of The Simpsons, not only as a brilliant marketing campaign to promote the upcoming THE SIMPSONS MOVIE but to fulfill any fanboys’ dream of downing some Buzz Cola or Squishees or enjoying a satisfying bowl of KrustyO’s cereal. And though only a dozen were given a Kwik-E-Mart-oplasty, most of the 6,000-plus other 7-Elevens in North America will sell the aforementioned no longer fictional items. If you’d like to see the Extreme Kwik-E-Mart Makeover for yourself, try visiting the following cities: Chicago; Dallas; Denver; Burbank, Calif.; Los Angeles; Henderson, Nev.; Orlando; Mountain View, Calif.; Seattle; and Bladensburg, Md. THE SIMPSONS MOVIE opens July 27th. (Picture courtesy of Defamer.)
