Sometimes when movies are delayed for a while, we end up learning a little too much about them before they finally get released, especially when they're entries in a beloved franchise. It makes sense – once something exists and people are clamoring to see it, you can't keep a lid on it for too long.
Given the fact that INSIDE directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury completed principal photography on their TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE prequel LEATHERFACE around two years ago, it's surprising that there are still any secrets left.
Well, an image hit the internet today that gives away one of the film's secrets. I'd qualify this as a MAJOR SPOILER that should definitely not have been revealed until audiences were sitting in the theatre (hopefully this October).
The image is among a batch of three the folks over at Bloody-Disgusting got their hands on today, and while it's the one B-D has chosen to feature most prominently, I'm putting it at the very bottom of this article, because it's a moment that should have been shocking to viewers. The first two images are perfectly safe: a behind-the-scenes shot of blood-soaked actors walking through a woods, a gross and still very bloody image of a character crawling out of (or out from under) an animal carcass and into the mud… That's all well and good.
But if you don't know much about LEATHERFACE, I would not advise looking at the last image.

LEATHERFACE has the following synopsis:
A prequel about teenage Leatherface who escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a road trip from hell. Along the way, they are pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge, one of these teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind, molding him into the monster we now call Leatherface.
As the synopsis says, while the audience watches LEATHERFACE they'll be trying to figure out the mystery of "which one of these teens will turn out to be Leatherface?" The image below is a SPOILER because it appears to take one of the teens out of the running.

Yeah… The kid getting his brain blown out in this image? Must not be Leatherface, despite being the most obvious contender. We shouldn't already be seeing this.
