Production is moving along on RITUAL, an upcoming indie horror written and directed by Mickey Keating, and as the guys over at Shock Till You Drop have just learned, the flick scored itself a couple of new cast members with Leigh Whannell and Derek Philips. Whannell is of course best known as the writer and star of films such as SAW and INSIDIOUS, while Philips has mostly done TV parts in such shows as “Friday Night Lights” and “Private Practice”. The film tells the story of a husband and wife who have a dead occult member on their hands. With the clock ticking, they attempt to figure out what to do with the body before the rest of his pals show up.
Whannell and Philips join a cast including Lisa Summerscales and Dean Cates. Shooting is set to commence later this month.
