Another classic tale is being updated for our times… whether we like it or not.

Prolific writer-producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (TRANSFORMERS, “Fringe”) are embarking on their next television project, “Sleepy Hollow,” which has Len Wiseman attached to direct. 20th Century Fox TV and Kurtzman and Orci’s studio-based K/O Paper Products are producing.

The project seems to have little to do with the famous Washington Irving short story and a lot to do with the recent success of television series like “Grimm” and “Once Upon a Time.”

“Sleepy Hollow” is a modern–day supernatural thriller based on the legend of Sleepy Hollow. It follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s local female sheriff to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil.

The project is being pitched to Fox, CBS, ABC and NBC.
