Lena Headey joins Ethan Hawke in Platinum Dunes’ Vigilandia

We told you about the micro-budget VIGILANDIA a couple of weeks ago; the sci-fi thriller comes from a surprising number of high-profile production companies considering its price tag, including Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE) and Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions (PARANORMAL ACTIVITY). It will eventually be distributed by Universal Pictures, was written and will be directed by James DeMonaco (THE NEGOTIATOR) and stars Ethan Hawke… Yes, we’re still talking about a micro-budget movie. (Think the PARANORMAL flicks and THE DEVIL INSIDE have changed things much?)

Now another big name has joined the low-budget party: Lena Headey. The beauty is probably best known for her turns in 300 and Fox’s “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, and can currently be seen playing a royal bitch in HBO’s fantastic “Game of Thrones”. She’s also showing up in DREDD, which hits later this year.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know anything about VIGILANDIA’s plot or Headey’s character (other than she’s the female lead). And maybe that’s for the best; this is an intriguingly mysterious project, so who wants it to be completely spoiled?
