The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that the Norwegian horror flick COLD PREY (a.k.a. FRITT VILT) has just been picked up for U.S. distribution by Leomax Entertainment!
I’ll be honest with you, I’ve never heard of this flick before, but hot damn does it sound like a good time. Check it out: Jannicke, Morten Tobias, Eirik, Mikael and Ingunn are on a snowboarding vacation in Jotunheimen. They are forced to take shelter in an abandoned hotel when Morten Tobias breaks his leg and their car is too far away for them to reach within nightfall. They quickly discover that the hotel was closed in the seventies due to the disappearance of the managers’ son. Unknown to them, someone is still living in the hotel, and getting home, or even surviving the stay, isn’t as easy as they believe.
Nice! It’s almost as if this group of snowboarders happened upon The Overlook Hotel, with good ol’ Jack lurking in the halls… but will the twins make an appearance in the third act? Thanks to Leomax (or Indigomotion, their genre banner), we’ll be finding out soon enough!
No date has been set in stone, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we find out. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and get ready for COLD PREY to knock your socks off sometime next year!
I have no idea what they’re saying, but this shit looks scary as hell!
