Leonidas vs. Capone

JoBloJoBlo

It’s Gerard Butler week! The guy must think they’re gonna kick him out of Hollywood if he doesn’t line up another half-dozen projects, but at this rate his career will last at least until the Rapture.

A single day after we learned he’d be working with the guys behind CRANK, we find out the 300 star and future Plissken will battle the lunacy and amorphous hair of Nicolas Cage in the prequel THE UNTOUCHABLES: CAPONE RISING.

Director Brian De Palma returns to his masterpiece-turned-franchise to tell of notorious gangster Al Capone’s early Chicago years and his dealings with hard-nosed Irish cop Jimmy Malone. It’s safe to assume that Butler (who described the script as “unbelievable”) will portray the role that previously won an Oscar for fellow Scotsman Sean Connery.
