I don’t think there’s a single person out there looking forward to Matt Reeves’ LET ME IN, the dreaded US remake of LET THE RIGHT ONE IN. We’ve been keeping you updated on this monstrosity for a while now but today we got official word that this bad boy has started filming!

Along with that news we’ve also got a full confirmed cast list. Principal photography started yesterday for LET ME IN in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The majority of the movie will be filmed at Albuquerque Studios but some production will spill out to other locations across New Mexico with plans to wrap back in Albuquerque come January.

LET ME IN follows an alienated 12-year-old boy who befriends a mysterious young newcomer in his small New Mexico town and discovers an unconventional path to adulthood. Apparently this remake will pay respect to the original Swedish film but will ‘forge a unique identity for the film, placing it firmly in an American context.’ It stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz, Richard Jenkins, Elias Koteas, Cara Buono and Sasha Barrese. It’s due for release sometime next year so be sure to keep it here for more updates as we hear them!

This is the first shot that pops up on Google when you type in ‘Let Me In.’ Works for me!
