It seemed like just yesterday we were reporting on Quentin Tarantino’s INGLORIOUS BASTARDS… well… it was just yesterday, but that was yesterday. Today we’ve got some brand new BASTARD news for you all!
Now David Krumholtz was previously in talks to take a role as one of the titular Bastards. Well according to Ain’t It Cool News Mr. Krumholtz has a scheduling conflict and he won’t be able to star in the film. Taking his place will be yet another comedic actor, Samm Levine.
Now Levine (right) is usually a comedy guy, having starred in FREAKS AND GEEKS. In case you don’t know what that is, that’s the TV show that was cancelled just as quick as it was greenlit, it was from the mind of Judd Apatow and starred Jason Segel, Seth Rogen, and James Franco. Yeah, so Levine was mixed right in with that group back in the day… and now he’s signed on for a role in a Quentin Tarantino war epic…
What the hell are you doing QT? I’ve been following along eagerly and I’m just not getting it. On paper this looks like a great comedy group here… Levine, Mike Myers, Simon Pegg, BJ Novak, Eli Roth, and Brad Pitt (Pitt can be f*cking hilarious when he wants to be!). I’m blind to what Tarantino is doing here… but I’m still with him!
Keep it here for any more INGLORIOUS BASTARDS updates as they come in.
I love the army.
