Last we heard, it was up in the air as to whether or not Liam Neeson (above) would return to star in the upcoming sequel to TAKEN. We’ve not learned that not only will Neeson be back as the badass Bryan Mills, but hottie Maggie Grace (below) will reprise her role as his daughter, Kim.
The currently untitled follow-up to the 2008 action/thriller will once again be produced by EuropaCorp, with producer Luc Besson (who co-wrote the original) penning the script. Olivier Megaton (TRANSPORTER 3) is on board to direct. Production is looking to begin in late 2011/early 2012.
No word on plot details yet, but I’d be perfectly fine seeing Grace’s character get kidnapped again to have Neeson save her. I wouldn’t mind an R-rating this time around so we can see some more bloodshed amongst the violence, but PG-13 worked fine for the first. What do you think?
