Liam Neeson won’t be taken easily in this international spot for Taken 2

Liam Neeson is back at it again as Bryan Mills, the man “with a particular set of skills” only this time he’s bringing the whole family in TAKEN 2, the sequel to the 2008 hit film.  This time Neeson is vacationing in Istanbul when he is ambushed by Albanian mobsters out for revenge for all the men he killed in the first film, even though those same mobsters started the whole damn thing by kidnapping his daughter.  Revenge…such a tricky business.  Now, we have a second international teaser that outlines the basic plot and features the usual bout of gunshots, bone breaks, and explosions that you would expect.

Listen very carefully:

I didn’t expect to love TAKEN.  I didn’t even expect to like it.  However, like many fans of the film, I was beyond surprised at how bad ass it was (especially the director’s cut) and am fully onboard for a sequel, even as silly as it may be.  I mean, why the hell would these Albanian mobsters kidnap Neeson and his estranged wife?  Why not just, y’know, kill them on the spot while they have the drop?  Someone needs to explain the concept of revenge to these guys.

Anyway, action movie cliches aside, I’m digging this.  It just looks like a hell of a good action romp and I’ll gladly go along for the ride.

TAKEN 2 starts f*ckin’ shit up on October 5, 2012.
