Lion gets Burn

Looks like Lionsgate has grabbed the rights to bring suspense thriller SLOW BURN to the big screen in North America and the U.K. Now before we go any further I’ll go ahead and admit that my primary interest in this news has to do with the fact the Jolene Blalock is in the flick.

Anyway, the story revolves around a big-city D.A. whose plans to run for mayor are stymied when a beautiful assistant district attorney confesses to a murder, saying it was self-defense.

OK, so it sounds like a pretty standard thriller, but did I mention that Jolene Blalock is in it? The rest of the cast ain’t too shabby either consisting of Ray Liotta, LL Cool J, Mekhi Phifer, Taye Diggs, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

With a cast like that I might check the damn thing out even without the presence of Ms. Blalock, but I’m glad I don’t have to make that choice.
