Today Variety reports that J.T. Petty (MIMIC 3: SENTINEL) is writing and directing a new film for Lions Gate entitled THE BURROWERS.
Described as a horror film set in the wicky-wicky wild-wild west, ala ALIENS meets THE SEARCHERS (John Wayne classic). Petty brought us MIMIC 3 and indie cult SOFT FOR DIGGING- so things are looking up for this project for sure. Not only that, but the guy’s the mind behind the video game adaption of BATMAN BEGINS for Electronic Arts. Sweet!
Hard to tell really what the hell it’s about, other than there’s aliens and cowboys blowin’ each other away- and damn doesn’t that sound like fun! More on THE BURROWERS when we hear it!
