We haven’t heard about Andrew Hull’s SIREN since the trailer found its way online back in May, but those interested in seeing seduction turn to murder won’t have to wait much longer. Lionsgate will release the movie on DVD, on demand, and digital download on March 22nd.
The UK thriller has been described as a cross between THE DESCENT, DEAD CALM, and OPEN WATER. Here is the plot:
A group of friends escaping the city for a weekend away have a simple plan, to tour the coast for a relaxing weekend. Things hit a snag when one of the friends spots a seductive, sultry young woman waving for help off the shore of one of many secluded islands along the coast. Reaching out to rescue her turns deadly and they risk everything to get off the island alive.
The film stars Anna Skellern (THE DESCENT: PART 2), Tereza Srbova (below), Eoin Macken, Anthony Jabre. The DVD will include deleted scenes. Cover art is expected soon.
