Do you remember when we told you about director Kevin Greutert's upcoming haunter JESSABELLE? No? Ah, that's because you may remember it by its former (and extremely generic) title GHOSTS. If that still doesn't ring any bells for you, fret not…it's been quite some time since we've heard anything from the supernatural shocker. While the film was originally scheduled for a January 10 2014 release, Exhibitor Relations has learned that the film has been pushed back – way back – to a late summer 2014 release. Here's the deets:

Ugh. From January all the way to August 29 2014. Seems like we've already been waiting a long, long time to see this one, and now the wait has gotten even longer.

Directed by Kevin Greutert with a script by Robert Ben Garant, the film stars Sarah Snook, Mark Webber and Joelle Carter.

After losing her fiancé in a horrific accident, Jessabelle is forced to recuperate at her father’s ruined Louisiana mansion, where she discovers a strange gift from her long-dead mother, and a terrifying presence determined to destroy her.

I certainly hope the wait for JESSABELLE is worth it. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but I don't know if the date shift bodes well for this film. Guess we'll see come August 2014!
