Lisey’s Story: Dane DeHaan, Joan Allen, Ron Cephas Jones video interviews

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

There are only two episodes left of the eight-part Apple TV+ mini-series Lisey's Story, with episode 7 set to be released on July 9 and the final episode coming on July 16th. Before the show wraps up, our own Alex Maidy was able to conduct interviews with cast members Dane DeHaan, Joan Allen, and Ron Cephas Jones. You can see those interviews in the video embedded above.

Lisey's Story is based on a novel by Stephen King (buy a copy HERE), and King wrote all of the scripts for the mini-series. He felt the need to do this because Lisey's Story is his favorite of all his novels. This is a

deeply personal, pensive thriller that follows Lisey Landon (played by Julianne Moore) two years after the death of her husband, famous novelist Scott Landon (played by Clive Owen). A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind.

In addition to the actors mentioned above, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Sung Kang, and Michael Pitt are also in the cast.

DeHaan plays Jim Dooley, an unbalanced fan of Scott Landon's work. Allen's character is Amanda Debusher, Lisey's troubled sister who enters the fantasy world of Boo'ya Moon – and gets stuck there. Jones' Professor Roger Dashmiel is so determined to get a look at work Scott Landon left behind that he sends Dooley to get it from Lisey. To hear what they had to say about their characters and the experience of working on Lisey's Story, check out the video!

An Apple Original limited series, Lisey's Story is a collaboration between Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. King, Moore, and director Pablo Larrain are executive producers on the show, alongside J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Juan de Dios Larrain.
