Little blue bipeds invade New York in the trailer for The Smurfs

If the trailer is any indication, THE SMURFS movie will be populated by more computer-generated creatures than humans… but at least one of them is Neil Patrick Harris. Sadly, it’s unlikely he’ll be getting up to the same kind of business he does with Harold and Kumar.

SCOOBY-DOO two-timer Raja Gosnell directs, and in case you’ve somehow never seen the creation of Belgian cartoonist Peyo in cartoons, comics, figurines, games, toys, or ice shows, here is the synopsis: When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours — in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.
