Livin Dead Dolls & a Zombie

It’s been a while since I brought you any news on genre collectibles… so what an update I’ve got for you today! I’m not going to beat around and sugarcoat it so here’s the brass tacks on a bunch of new figures and collectibles heading our way!

First up we’ve got an intriguing zombie figure coming our way from Fear Werx. That’s right… just your everyday zombie. No film tie-ins or gimmicks… but this little bastard is looking vicious! This little guy is called War of the Dead: Z•E•R•O – Zombie Type One and you can catch a glimpse of some of his details above and below. Head right over here to see more.

The figure will stand of 8” and will have a cloth costume. It’s being based on the classic MEGO figures from the 70s. Only difference is this one is gorey! A while ago I told you about some MEGO NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD figures… well this guy puts those to shame! The major difference between this guy and previous MEGO releases, aside from the gruesome depiction, will be that this figure’s head will be made of solid resin rather than soft vinyl.

This flesh-eating collectible will be available at this year’s MonsterMania. So if you’ve got nothing better to do the weekend of June 12th through June 14th and you’re planning on being around the Crowne Plaza in Hartford/Cromwell, Connecticut you might just want to stop by!

Remember how I just told you how Rob Zombie has been busy posting a load of updates via his MySpace? Well one of those updates happened to be a first look at the Mezco’s HALLOWEEN 2 Living Dead Doll I mentioned a couple weeks ago.

The little guy obviously is a variation of Michael Myers from this Summer’s HALLOWEEN 2. He’ll be dressed in a costume that will actually match the film and comes with a bloody knife. Very nice. You can actually pre-order this little guy over at Big Bad Toy Store for $26.

In the spirit of cool Living Dead Dolls based on genre icons I’ve also included pictures of Living Dead Doll’s Jason Voorhees from the 2009 remake, Comic Con Exclusive Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, and Captain Spaulding below! You can also purchase those cute little guys through the links below. Leatherface goes for $24 while Captain Spaulding goes from anywhere between $25 – $30. 2009’s Jason Voorhees catches a price tag of $24 with the Comic Con Exclusive scoring a hefty pricetag of $60! Just click around below if you’re looking to pick these guys up!
