Word around the net is that Mathias Dinter’s German horror/comedy NIGHT OF THE LIVING DORKS wasn’t half bad. And you know what that means… remake!
According to STYD, Vertigo Entertainment will be bringing this remake to us for Warner Independent Pictures. It’s being co-produced by Roy Lee and Adam F. Goldberg. The remake script is by Chris Bishop. Michael Showalter (THE BAXTER) will be directing.
The synopsis reads: Three not-so-cool school friends decide to try an old voodoo ritual. When they later die in a car crash, they find themselves reborn as zombies, and try to take advantage of their new lifestyle.
Producer Doug Davison describes it as SHAUN OF THE DEAD meets SUPERBAD. That’s a bold comparison right there, hopefully it lives up to it. As long as this remake stars Collien Fernandes (below), who starred in the original, then I’m definately there!
