Marvel is having another great year at the movies, with GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY kicking things off, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING being hailed as possibly the best Spidey film yet, and with, if early reviews are to be believed, THOR: RAGNAROK ending things with a godly bang with what may be their most imaginative movie yet. Those stellar reviews litter the new TV spot for the movie, which has some new footage proving Loki is just as boisterous as always with delusions of grandeur. Some gods never learn. Like always I’ll have to wait for myself to see the movie, but so far, I couldn’t be happier to hear Taika Waititi and Co, succeeded in doing something wildly different with Thor and embracing the ridiculousness of that side of the Marvel universe. It’s something the GUARDIANS movies did, while past THOR movies failed to make space adventure seem at all fun. All they needed was a splash of color, some interesting design work, and a quirky, well-dressed kiwi to mesh it all together. Should have been an obvious solution.
