You guys remember a flick called THE DEAD MATTER? It’s a zombie-vampire flick that’s been in the works for a long ass time now. The last update we got on the project came back in January, when we found out that the flick would be hitting DVD shelves come July 30th.
Well here we are a few months later and we’re just now getting word that the film has officially found distribution. Well sh*t… that took long enough. Actually said distribution happens to be a nice little twist to the DEAD MATTER saga. You see, the film’s director Edward Douglas has decided to distribute the movie himself with some help from popular retail chain Hot Topic. Now you don’t see that everyday, do you?
THE DEAD MATTER tells the story of a relic with occult powers that falls into the hands of a grief-stricken young woman, whose desire to reconnect with her dead brother draws her into the supernatural world of vampirism and the living dead.
The film stars genre legends Tom Savini and Andrew Divoff along with Jason Carter and C.B. Spencer (below). Below you’ll find some DVD art for the film as well as it’s official trailer.
