ComingSoon.net has posted a pic of the concept art for Davey Jones. He’ll be the villian in Disney’s sequel to THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, subtitled DEAD MAN’S CHEST.

Now certainly the first flick didn’t come close to qualifying as horror, though many of the skeletal effects were certainly fine for a genre lovers day. And I admit that I don’t expect the tone of the second one to be darker than the first. So why the hell am I writing this up?

Because the creature design for Davey Jones is one of the coolest f*cking things I’ve seen in forever. I’d post this if he was starring in SPONGEBOB WETS HIS PANTS. In other words, check out the taste below, then click on the pic to see all the glorious goodness. I can’t wait to see this bugger on the big screen!
